SInce I had seen why some laptop manufacturers just simply limits the charge to the battery, but with HP I am wondering how does Adaptive Battery Optimizer works? Because I am trying not to ruin the battery for the sake of gaming on my gaming laptop. So that way I can do more than just sit in one place and watch videos. Also I have tried to find videos that either explains it or show how it works. But there's nothing I could find on YouTube. I just would like to know, so that way I wouldn't make an expensive mistake.

Please check to see does your machine support Adaptive Battery Optimizer first. My Omen does not as shown:

My gaming laptop does support it since I had seen the option in the bios, but I couldn't do the "HP Battery Check" because it isn't within the bios or even the HP system checker or something like it. What I was trying to say, is how does it work. So that way I could understand it more than it is just simply words and take it face value. Like I had said before, there's no way I could use the HP Battery Check with this machine from the boot up menu since I don't see the option as far that this make and model goes. Or is it a defective unit?
