Good Evening,
My gaming laptop only has 8 ram, and I want to increase the amount of ram. What is the most ram that can be installed on my laptop and what specifically do I buy? How hard is it to install?
Thank you

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Your HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-dk0068wm (7MP87UA), according to various (up-to-date) sources such as: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-gaming-15-dk0068wm, indicates that you could fit up to 2 x 32GB DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM sticks.
But you could also purchase DDR4 PC4-25600, 3200 MHz RAM, which will down throttle to 2666 MHz.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,

And upgrading your RAM is easy. Just follow the steps in this YouTube instructional video made by a User: Hp Pavilion Gaming 15 Dk - xxx Ram Upgrade, STEP By STEP - YouTube.
Btw, for most gaming purposes, 2x8GB would suffice, at most 2x16GB if you so desire. Please keep in mind that it is highly recommended that you install the same RAM: same brand, model, and capacity. In order to have your RAM run in dual-channel mode for best performance, use both RAM slots (2x8GB, 2x16GB).
Kind Regards,
