Omen 17 2070
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, perhaps somebody can answer my question.  I've just taken possession of an Omen 17 2070 (2019/20 model) which I am very happy with but I'd like to make use of the free m.2 slot to add a second SSD.

Question is is the free slot an NVME compatible slot or just SATA?

If it is NVME compatible and I was to purchase one and fit it would there be any impact to system speed, i understand they use PCIE lanes, would this occupy lanes providing say the gtx card and reduce its performance?

And finally, I assume it's not a full length slot, what length drive will it accept?

Thanks.

@Katashtrophie

What EXACTLY is your Omen 17 2070 (2019/20 model) ? Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

             or

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108

Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

Normally Omen machines which have M.2 slot use NVMe SSD's max 2280 (or 80mm length).

Regards.
