Hey all, I am also going to add...

Yes as @Sheogorath suggests, you would want to clear the HDD so you can free up space for a nice Storage Drive and bypass boot-to issues. Or leave it out as a backup OS and install another new HDD for storage instead.

But I would also suggest installing the SSD, then migrating the OS from the HDD with a cloning tool like Aomie Backupper, or the free Samsung utility that comes with the SSD.

Reason being, there are reports that the HP Omen Command Center is not working if you clean install with the MS Media Creation ISO and add the OCC afterward. I cannot guarantee of a fix for this issue at the moment.

Yes its a bit of work to do all this unfortunately.

Just giving ya a heads up.

And considering that issue, I would hold off wiping the original HDD for a while.

Thank you for adding, I intend on putting the media creation tool on a separate 32G flash drive before I do anything.

However I do not intend on using that flash drive to do a clean install of windows, and instead will just be migrating all the data from the HDD to the SSD. I want to keep this simple as possible.
