OMEN Laptop - 15-dh1060nr
Microsoft Windows 11

Please assist, I've found a B&O driver that may enable audio on my laptop, but it won't load because of a missing INF file. Does anyone know where I can find an INF file for B&O audio for my laptop i.e. HP Omen 15-dh1060hr? Thank you

Hi @sbrittin,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Did the audio stop working after a Windows update or reinstall?
  • Have you already tried downloading drivers directly from the HP Support site for your Omen 15-dh1060hr?
  • Are you seeing any error messages when attempting to install the driver, or does it simply fail due to the missing INF file?

Troubleshooting steps to try

  1. HP Drivers & Downloads page
    • Visit the official HP Support website, enter your exact model (HP Omen 15-dh1060hr), and download the latest audio driver package. This should include the proper INF file needed for installation.
  2. Intel/Realtek audio drivers
    • The B&O audio experience on HP laptops is usually built on Realtek or Intel audio drivers with HP’s custom enhancements. Installing the latest Realtek High Definition Audio driver from HP’s website often resolves missing INF issues.
  3. HP Driver Packs
    • HP provides driver packs that contain INF-based installation files. These can be useful if the standard installer fails.
  4. Windows Update
    • Run Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for optional updates. Sometimes Windows will automatically pull the correct audio driver.
  5. Manual installation via Device Manager
  • Right-click the audio device with the yellow exclamation mark.
  • Select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers.
  • Point it to the folder where the HP audio driver package extracted its files

I hope this helps.

I now realize my aodio problem is not the Audio Driver, rather it's an Intel High Definition DSP driver. My PC Device Manager has a yellow warning symbol attached to this driver. The respective warning says there is not a driver update available,

I googled this issue & other PC companies provided a solution i.e., their PC ysers have the same audio problem since upgrading to Windows 11. Although other PC companies solution for this may work for an HP PC, has anyone else found a solution for an HP  Omen laptop i.e., DH1060nr? Thank you
