I switched on my laptop today and instead of starting normally as it should it displayed a message saying 'BIOS is not found or is corrupted'. There were additional messages where it said that I needed to create a recovery from a USB flash drive and flash the BIOS to my laptop. I tried to do it by following all the procedures but to no avail, Please help if anyone can.

The advice given by @techG is good but you will need a bios for your 15-ec1000 system. The latest one is. F.27
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp139001-139500/sp139334.exe
Usually when the bios is missing ore corrupted you do not get any messages at all. if you are getting the message 'BIOS is not found or is corrupted' that is actually a good indication.
Can you run any diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on and press F2 to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.
Tap the ESC key about once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. You should see an image like the following.
If you cannot run diagnostics or use F10 instead of ESC to get into the bios then you need to do the WIN+B recovery procedure as referenced by TechG

It sounds like your BIOS is corrupted. Try the following steps: Ensure your USB drive is formatted correctly and contains the correct BIOS file. Plug it into a USB 2.0 port, not 3.0. Reboot and access the boot menu to select the USB drive for the BIOS update.
