Your model like so many other newer laptops has no RTC/BIOS battery.
It relies on your main battery to save the settings in the BIOS.
Lets try this before opening the laptop to physically disconnect the main battery???
You can disconnect an embedded battery using Ship Mode
Before starting the removal/replacement process for any part in a commercial notebook with an embedded battery, ensure the battery is in Ship Mode i.e the battery is disconnected. To do this, follow these steps:
- The notebook must be OFF with the AC and DC power source connected to the system.
- Press "Win + Backspace + Power button" and hold them for 5 seconds (the unit will boot up temporarily).
- Verify that the system auto shuts down.
- Remove the AC power adaptor.
- Press the power button.
- Confirm that the unit does NOT boot up.
NOTE: Once in Ship Mode, the unit won't boot until the customer first connects the AC adapter to a working power outlet.
Let it sit for a few minutes before connecting the AC.
When you do connect the AC, if it worked it should ask for you to reset Date/Time???
