HP Omen 15 ce0xx . I bought a second hand laptop, the first thing I did is upgrade it to an SSD, I have been using it for months, I came back to it after windows updates and now it will not boot to The SSD.

I am almost certain the problem is the boot order, because it boots when I put the HD back in. Maybe the Legacy/Uefi settings.

However I can't change the BIOS/Boot settings as it is prompting for a BIOS password.

I don't have this password and there is no code I can use to find a default password, it just says "system disabled" after 3 attempts. I have tried to reset cmos but to no avail. I can't find any powershell settings or Utility to remove the password. At this point it's stuck and I can only use it with the Mechanical HDD but that is much slower.

The SSD works on another device so it's not faulty.

I can't think of any way of getting the BIOS off. It has HP Sure Key or something and says to insert a USB but I don't have the recovery information so that is not useful.

Any ideas?
