My HP Victus 16.1 came clean without any preinstalled OS. Ever since then I installed Fedora linux, already in its 42 version, and everything works absolutely fine. My question is how to update the BIOS, since all options available by HP are for unknown linux kernels, which are a no option for me. Thank you for your assistance.

You can use another Windows PC to create a USB BIOS recovery flash drive with the latest BIOS update from your notebook's support page and update the BIOS outside of Windows.
Make sure you use the right one for the the system board ID your notebook comes with.
