HP Omen Notebook 15-5210nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP Community!

I come to you for guidance on buying and installing the correct replacement battery for my Omen notebook. Is it possible to change the battery in this older model? My notebook model has the aluminum, sharp edged chassis that unfortunately HP stopped making for their Omen line. When I boot up, I've been getting the notification that it is time to replace my battery. I kept the packaging box, and so have these battery model numbers:

Battery: HSTNN-LB6N

                PI 967

I just really want to make sure that this is the battery I should buy to replace (sorry if this is an obvious, redundant question). Also, how do you dismantle this notebook in order to replace the battery? Warranty expired a good while ago. Thank you for any and all help!

Your machine uses  SPS-BATT 4C 58WHr 3.82Ah LI RR04058-PR battery part #  778978-006 as shown

You can order from there or use part # to order elsewhere.
