Hello,
I purchased my HP OMEN laptop less than a year ago. I was sparingly using it for some time and now I am using it regularly. However I have noticed that the battery charges till 85% and then it stops.
The laptop is pretty expensive and With high end products if these problems are occurring then it is difficult to imagine the problems less priced products must be going through.
My work is stalled and as you can see I am not very happy with the issue that the battery is giving me.
Kindly help me out in this matter. I did not expect problems like these would happen with high end products which are supposed to be Value for money somewhere.
Thank you for your time.
Regards,

Hello @Supriyal
Its hard to say if the battery is failing or if it just needs calibration.
There is a way to test and calibrate it though. Try this and see if it solves the issue or finds a problem.
With the power cord plugged in, press the power button to turn on the laptop, but also rapidly tap the F2 key.
This should open the UEFI Diagnostics tools.
Select... Component Tests.
- In the Component Tests menu, click Power, and then click Battery.
- Click Run once.
The Battery Test begins. - When the battery test is complete, the results are displayed on the screen. For additional battery information, click Battery Details. If the battery fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code).
Let me know what happens.

there is an option in the BIOS where you can set the max charge capacity you want your batery to charge up to. One of the options there is 85%, if im not mistaken. If that is the issue, it is very easy to fix. However, if you dont know what im talking about (BIOS and stuff), dont do nothing, since you can mess up your laptop very badly if anything is done wrong. But its a very simple procedure. I would recomend you to google a bit about that. Good luck.
