My new laptop battery issue with no charge and backup

If you are experiencing issues with your HP laptop battery not charging, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

 

  • Check the power source: Make sure your laptop is properly connected to a power source, and that the power source is working. Try plugging the laptop into a different outlet, or using a different power cable.
  • Restart your laptop: Sometimes simply restarting your laptop can help resolve issues with the battery not charging.
  • Check the battery contacts: Ensure that the battery contacts are clean and free from any dirt or debris. You can use a soft cloth or cotton swab to clean the contacts.
  • Check the battery health: Open the HP Support Assistant application and run a battery test to see if the battery is functioning properly. If the battery health is poor, you may need to replace it.
  • Update your drivers: Outdated drivers can cause issues with your battery. Make sure your drivers are up to date by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest updates for your laptop.
