Hello, I have a question
Is there any solution for limit the percentage of the battery at 80% while charging?
I activated Adaptive Battery Optimizer from BIOS but when I run HP Battery Check from HP Support Assistant, it says that I need to activate Battery Optimizer, and when I press Activate Battery Optimizer, nothing happens.

Hi @costy04,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're facing a specific issue with the Battery Optimizer feature on your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem.
- Update HP Support Assistant: Make sure that your HP Support Assistant is up to date. Go to the HP Support Assistant application on your laptop, and check for any available updates. If there is an update, install it and then try activating the Battery Optimizer again.
- Update BIOS/UEFI: Ensure that your laptop's BIOS/UEFI is updated to the latest version. You can usually find BIOS updates on the official HP support website. Keep in mind that updating the BIOS can be a sensitive process, so follow the HP instructions carefully.
- Reinstall HP Support Assistant: Uninstall the HP Support Assistant from your laptop, restart the computer, and then download and reinstall the latest version from the official HP website. After reinstalling, check if the Battery Optimizer works as expected.
- Check Power Plan Settings: Verify that your power plan settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, certain power plans may interfere with battery optimization features. Go to "Control Panel" > "Power Options" and make sure your selected power plan is suitable for your needs.
Remember to back up your important data before making any significant changes to your system settings or updating firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
