Battery replacement

I have a Victus 16 s1000dx. Can i use the bigger 83Wh wk06xl battery for my laptop?

According to chapter 6, page 40 of the service manual, I don't believe that would be a good idea...

Thank you for your reply. I checked the maintenance and service guide for my laptop by using your link and if you check under chapter 60 page 39 at the very bottom under the battery heading it also lists the 6 cell 83Wh battery WK06XL which I was talking about and then on the next page it lists the smaller battery I was asking if I can use the bigger battery listed there. Now I did some research and found a similar case to mine the person owned an omen 16 and he asked the same question as me and the solution was that he can use the bigger battery I will leave a link to the question here

However, they are two completely different models--the 16s and the 16-k.

I appreciate your concern and I am grateful. I know they are two different models but his laptop also came with the smaller battery like mine and just like mine if you check the maintenance and service guide of the omen 16 under chapter 6 page 37 it also lists both the batteries just like mine. i have attached a link to the service guide of OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC

Yes, sounds good, because the same warning statement is contained in both manuals and since the 6-cell battery worked in the 16-k where the manual indicates...To reduce potential safety issues, use only the user-replaceable battery provided with the computer, a replacement battery provided by HP, or a compatible battery purchased from HP,' is the same statement.

So, I agree that installing the 6-cell battery shouldn't be a problem.
