Battery stopped charging for no reason. HARDWARE DIAGNOSTICS gave me this as an error or problem name GPGJXA-8QU9HC-MFPURG-C0A403. Any solution why the battery stopped charging or what is the problem? Thank you

@AY94,

Welcome to HP Support Forums,

This looks like a possible hardware failure with the battery,

Batteries are susceptible to heat, so if your laptop is overheating, that could cause a problem. As the temperature rises, the battery sensor may misfire, telling the system that the battery is either fully charged or missing completely, causing the charging problems.

To know the part number of the battery, please go through the Maintenance and Service guide

You could purchase the part from HP, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

And order it via the HP Parts store: https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/CountryChoice.aspx?mscssid=&ccode=ZZ&lcode=ZZ

Or alternatively, Contact HP support team for setting up an order/service.

HP support team can be reached on www.hp.com/contacthp
