Does my HP Pavilion (HP Gaming Notebook
Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @2.60 GHZ) have a Fast Boot setting in the Bios. If so where is it located.
Thanks

Hi @Burr11,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook with an Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU may have a Fast Boot setting in the BIOS, but the availability of this feature can vary between different models and BIOS versions. It is typically located within the BIOS setup utility under certain menus, such as "Boot" or "Advanced Options."
To check if your specific notebook model has a Fast Boot setting, follow these general steps:
Enter the BIOS Setup Utility:
- Restart your computer.
- As soon as it begins the boot process, repeatedly press the F10 key (or the key specified for your model) to enter the BIOS setup utility.
Navigate to the Boot Options:
- Use the arrow keys to navigate through the BIOS menus.
- Look for a tab labeled "Boot" or "Advanced."
Check for Fast Boot Option:
- Within these menus, search for an option labeled "Fast Boot."
- If available, you can enable or disable it according to your preferences.
Save and Exit:
- After making changes, navigate to the "Exit" tab.
- Choose "Save Changes and Exit" to apply and restart your computer.
If you can't find the Fast Boot setting or if your specific BIOS version does not include it, it's likely not available for your model.
I hope this helps.
