Hi @GUROLDON

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for laying out the situation so clearly. It’s genuinely frustrating when your keyboard and Bluetooth—two essential components—start misbehaving, especially on a performance-focused device like the HP Victus 15.

Let’s walk through a structured recovery path to address both issues and get your system back to reliable operation.

Part 1: Fixing Bluetooth Disconnections

This model has shown intermittent Bluetooth failures tied to driver instability and USB controller conflicts.

Steps to Stabilize Bluetooth

Update Bluetooth Drivers

  • Visit the HP Victus 15 driver page
  • Enter your product number: 7K4W8PA
  • Download the latest MediaTek Bluetooth driver (or Intel, depending on your configuration)

Disable Power Saving for Bluetooth

  • Press Windows + X → Device Manager
  • Expand Bluetooth, right-click your adapter → Properties
  • Go to Power Management tab → uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

Reset Bluetooth Stack

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator
  • Run:
    net stop bthserv
    net start bthserv

Check for USB Conflicts

  • In Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers
  • Look for any “Unknown USB Device” with a yellow warning
  • Right-click → Uninstall → Restart

These steps address the root cause of random Bluetooth dropouts and disappearing toggles.

Part 2: Resolving Keyboard Malfunction

If some keys are intermittently working, it may be due to:

  • Debris or residue under the keys
  • Loose ribbon cable connection
  • Firmware-level input lag

Steps to Diagnose and Clean

Run HP Keyboard Diagnostics

  • Restart and press Esc, then F2 to enter HP Diagnostics
  • Run the Keyboard Test to identify faulty keys

Clean the Keyboard Surface

  • Power off and unplug the laptop
  • Use compressed air to gently blow around the affected keys
  • Use a soft brush or microfiber cloth to remove surface dust

Check for Firmware Updates

  • Visit the HP Support page
  • Download the latest BIOS and firmware updates for your model

If Keys Still Fail

  • The internal keyboard ribbon may be loose or damaged
  • A service technician can reseat or replace the keyboard module

Let me know which keys are affected or if you'd like help confirming your Bluetooth chipset—I’ll guide you through the next phase. You’re clearly being proactive, and this kind of issue deserves a clean resolution.
