Hi @Akaliwood,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Does the sound stutter only at the login screen, or do you notice it later while playing music/videos?
  • Did you install all the latest drivers from HP’s support page for your specific model, or are you relying on Windows’ default drivers?
  • Have you noticed any other performance hiccups (like lag, freezing, or fan noise) during startup?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Update audio drivers: Go to HP’s support site for your Omen 17.3db1006na and install the latest audio driver (often Realtek or Bang & Olufsen).
  • Check Windows updates: Make sure all pending updates are installed sometimes sound fixes are bundled in.
  • Disable audio enhancements: In Sound settings, right‑click your playback device → Properties → Enhancements tab → check “Disable all enhancements.”
  • Clean boot test: Temporarily disable startup apps to see if something is interfering with audio initialization.
  • BIOS update: HP occasionally releases BIOS updates that improve hardware compatibility, including audio.

It’s not usually a hardware failure if the issue only happens during login, but keeping drivers and updates current is the best way to rule out deeper problems.

I hope this helps.
