Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Recently I bought the computer and when I started using it I realised that the battery life is not what they promised. The produxt was advertised as a gaming laptop that could woek up to 3 hours unplugged, and 7+ hs unplugged use using simple tasks (powerpoint and chrome ish)

I started using it and the battery went from 100% to 37% in 2 hours just using it to look for information and editing some PowerPoint slides.

I am wondering how can I know if I got a computer with a bad battery life or its a manufacturer problem.

I`ve done all steps, and the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver was successfully installed, but the HP Firmware Pack BIOS update didn`t work, since when I open the installation file (after setup) it immediately closes. I`ve checked the BIOS update date and confirmed it isn`t updated.

The BitLocker, core isolation, and my Norton were deactivated, so any clue why it doesn`t run?

Another thing, I`ve read another discussion about the same problem, and someone affirmed that this battery problem isn`t actually an issue, but a feature lack. To get better performance and control over the battery, HP needs to make a specific update in the BIOS to add these features in the laptop models. Currently, this better battery control is only available in the HP Omen and some other HP laptops, but not in the Victus line yet. This article is about one of the features that lack in Victus, the Adaptive Battery Optimizer: HP Gaming Laptops - Introducing Adaptive Battery Optimizer, Designed to Prolong Battery Lifespan | H...

But yet, any BIOS update that would increase some battery performance would be great.

So, back to my problem lol. Do you know how to solve the BIOS_Update.exe not loading? Btw, the path is C:\SWSetup\SP143097.

Thank you so much.
