Hello! Recently I have not used my gaming notebook since I bought a desktop computer, but a few days ago I opened the computer back up and saw that it had swelled up alot on the right side, near the trackpad. When I pressed the trackpad down it got stuck in a continous click and there was no way to get it back up.
I don't know what the buldging is, but it is kind of scary haha. I also don't know if my warranty is expired.

The most likely underlying cause of the warping is a swollen battery.
Yes, it happens.
Assuming this is indeed the case, the battery must be removed and replaced.
There is no alternative solution or treatment.
If the battery is not already failing, it will do so.
Make sure you have your backups current and stored on OTHER than the computer.

- Swollen battery might be hiding OR there might be evidence that the battery has inflated. For example, notebook case is warped, touchpad stops working, “odd” bulging near the keyboard.
- If the battery is in a swollen or bloated condition, the battery must be removed from the computer and replaced. There are no other remedies, tests, or useful options.
