The CPU heats up even when idle. I did thermal tightening a week ago. and there is no performance mode in Omen gaming hub.

Let me check your current system configuration.

 

(1) Run    msinfo32

- Select <System Summary>:

--->>> Copy/paste following key/value pairs:

 

OS Name

Version

System Model

System SKU ( equals HP product number (p/n) )

Processor

BIOS Version/Date

 

(2) Start Windows <device manager>

- Expand <Display adapters>

- Expand <Network adapters>

- Expand <Sound, video and game controllers>

(2) Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub !

 

(3Download and install BIOS Update

(1) Performance mode is not available for "all" OMEN notebooks. That's all I can say. 

(2) <idle> Temperatures are ok

(3) Now please send screenshots after 5 min <gaming>

Temperatures are really high, this is not good !

 

(1) To get rid of constant overheating problem I recommend the following:

Set "maximum processor percentage" in Windows to 98%

--->>> How to show or hide Minimum and Maximum Processor State in Power Options in Windows 11/10

 

(2) Reboot Windows

 

(3) Send screenshot of temperatures again

 

(4Use cooling pad !

Yes it is. Better for a long life of CPU and GPU ! This also means less fan activity and less noise...
