Could you define your temps that you are seeing a little better please? What is 58-65 at idle, your CPU or GPU?

If your cpu is hitting up to 85 in games, that is average for those laptops. They don't cool as easily as a good desktop system does.

CPU has a Tjunction of 100c and will begin to throttle when it gets near that or shut down if it goes over to protect it.

GPU GTX 1050 has a max of around 97c and will do the same thing.

According to your specs, you only have one NVMe SSD. Did you install a sata HDD extra?

NVMe M.2 drives depending on the brand/model would generally have a temp range between 0-70c and would also throttle down when it gets to hot.

HP does not put specifics on the max temps it allows (usually). You just have to Google the hardware and gather the info from the individual hardware MFGs websites like we do.
