I recently found out that my camera is not working and somehow deleted the camera driver by mistake. I can't seem to find the driver anywhere. I also tried to download the driver from the site but it wasn't showing. I even watched some tutorials of how to fix the driver but to no avail. Please help me resolve this issue as its causing problems in my daily life.

Hi @Wolfordshin,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Facing issues with drivers can be frustrating, but let's tackle this step by step. Here's a guide to help you resolve the camera driver error for your Victus By HP Gaming Laptop 15.
- Check Device Manager: First, let's see if Windows recognizes the camera. Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager." Look for any devices with a yellow triangle icon indicating a problem. If you see your camera listed there, right-click on it, and select "Update driver."
- Windows Update: Sometimes, Windows Update can automatically find and install the correct drivers for your devices. Make sure your system is up-to-date by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Manufacturer's Website: Since you've already tried downloading the driver from the site, let's try a different approach. Visit the HP support website again and enter your laptop's model number. Look specifically for the camera driver in the list of drivers available for download. Make sure you're downloading the correct driver for your operating system version (e.g., Windows 10).
- HP Support Assistant: If you haven't already, install the HP Support Assistant software on your laptop. This tool can automatically detect and download the necessary drivers for your HP laptop, including the camera driver. Open HP Support Assistant, and navigate to the "Updates" section to check for any available driver updates.
- System Restore: If none of the above methods work, you can try restoring your system to a previous point in time when the camera was working correctly. Type "System Restore" in the Windows search bar and follow the prompts to restore your system to a previous state.
Remember to restart your laptop after installing or updating drivers to ensure the changes take effect.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
