@Vedant3108, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your camera not working!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Since your HP Victus camera is crashing and sometimes throwing error codes, let's try a few things to get it working again:
Check Privacy Settings
Press Win + I to open Settings.
Go to Privacy & Security > Camera and make sure Camera Access is turned ON.
Scroll down and check if apps like Camera, Zoom, or Teams have permission.
Update/Reinstall Camera Driver
Right-click the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
Right-click your camera driver (it might be called "HP TrueVision Camera" or something similar).
Click Update Driver > Search Automatically for Drivers.
If that doesn’t help, right-click again and select Uninstall Device, then restart your laptop—Windows should reinstall it automatically.
Reset the Camera App
Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps (or Apps & Features).
Find Camera, click the three dots (...), and select Advanced Options.
Click Repair first. If it still doesn’t work, click Reset.
Try Windows Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters.
Find Camera and click Run.
Check for Windows Updates
Sometimes, an update might fix bugs causing crashes.
Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
If nothing works, let me know if you’re getting a specific error code—I’ll do my best to help you further! 😊
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
