My device (see heading) claims to not be able to find the camera that it comes with. I have tried going into the Device Manager and clicking Action --> Scan for hardware changes, but it doesn't do anything. The camera worked a couple months ago and I cannot think of any reason that it would suddenly fail.
I have also noticed that when I go to the Software and Drivers page for my product on HP's website, it doesn't appear to have any driver associated with the webcam listed. I am a bit perplexed by this, given that, as I said, the camera *is* part of the machine and three months ago it worked fine.
Edited to add: This is not an issue of permissions. All apps have camera permissions.
