So I have a 17 inch OMEN laptop model 15-ek0053tx (my "about this PC" settings say it's a model 17-cb1xxx) and I was wondering if installing an SSD into my secondary SSD slot would void my warranty, and if so, where can I go to get it installed by HP so my warranty is still valid? They must have a secondary slot in there for a reason, so it would be stupid for them to not allow it.

Warranty is a grey/gray, area very hard to say in concrete. For new generation machines, adding something or fixing something is a work for Authorized Service Provider parts . You can add yourself. If something went wrong due to this upgrade, I think HP would not honor warranty.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.
