Hp Victus 15 fa0000
Microsoft Windows 11

hey i have a hp victus 15 fa0000 and i was wondering how difficult it is to install extra ram onto my laptop? I am planning on ordering 2x16gb ram sticks to replace my 2x8gb ram sticks to get more preformance out of it as my ram is limiting my laptop. I was wondering if i would be able to install them myself as a amateur technology enthusiast. I am generally pretty good with my hands and am able to keep track or screws and document progress using photos, what are the chances i will end up breaking my laptop and is it even possible? thank you!

Hi:

You can upgrade the memory.

There are two references you can use to help you:

The service manual:

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

And the service teardown video:

Removing & Replacing Parts | Victus by HP 15-fa0000 Gaming Laptop | HP Computer Service | HP Support...

After reviewing both references, if you feel that you should be able to do work yourself, then why not give it a go?

The manual indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB, but the Crucial memory report indicates you can install up to 2 x 32 GB of memory in your notebook, so 2 x 16 GB should not be a problem.

How much would 2x16gb ram sticks compatible cost roughly and where should I get them?
