I currently possess two 4GB DDR4 RAM sticks operating at a speed of 2666 MHz. I am interested in upgrading my system by adding a single 16GB DDR4 RAM stick with a speed of 3200 MT/s. My intention is to use only the 16GB stick along with one of the existing 4GB sticks, resulting in a total RAM capacity of 20 GB. My PC's motherboard supports a maximum RAM speed of 2400 MHz. Would this configuration pose any compatibility issues or performance concerns?

( here is the Amazon link for 16GB RAM        https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-16GB-Laptop-Memory-CT16G4SFRA32A/dp/B08C511GQH/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=ddr...    )
I am considering the purchase of a 16GB RAM module running at 3200MT/s with the future in mind. My primary motivation is to ensure that this particular RAM module will be compatible with and transferable to a new laptop I may acquire down the road.

Hi:

It shouldn't be a problem at all.

But you'll have 20 GB of memory running in single channel mode.

Dual channel requires both memory chips to be the same capacity (2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB).

Your notebook's processor can only run the memory at a max speed of 2400 MHz, so both the DDR4-2666 MHz and the DDR4-3200 MHz memory chips both automatically bridge to 2400 MHz.
