hp pavilion 15 gaming
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've bought this Pavilion 15 Gaming laptop about 3 months ago, and recently the issue that I'm going to describe started happening. So, if I have any game on, the laptop stops getting power from the charger although it stays well connected and there is no way it was moving or anything, and then after about 15 seconds it goes back to charging. This of course causes a huge drop in FPS and is generally annoying.

It only happens while gaming, so if I'm using the laptop for writing or surfing the Internet this doesn't happen.

What do you think the problem is?

Hello @Shizuoo

So when you have a heavy draw of power on it like from gaming, the charger shows a constant connect/disconnect as if the charger cant keep up.

Since you're under warranty, I would contact HP Support directly (not the forum) for a warranty issue. They will have to have it to do some testing and see what needs to be replaced.
