Hi @Aslicayl,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be an issue with either the charging port or the battery management system on your HP Victus 16 laptop. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
- Check Power Settings: Sometimes, power settings can cause issues with charging. Make sure your power settings are configured correctly, and try adjusting them to see if it makes a difference.
- Update Drivers and BIOS: Ensure that your laptop's drivers and BIOS are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers or BIOS can cause charging issues.
- Perform a Power Reset: Shut down your laptop, disconnect the power adapter, and remove the battery (if possible). Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power. Then reconnect the battery and power adapter and try turning on your laptop again.
- Inspect Charging Port: Check the charging port on your laptop for any physical damage or debris that may be obstructing the connection. Use compressed air to clean out any dust or debris.
- Try a Different Power Outlet: Plug your charger into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the outlet itself.
- Test with Different Charger: If possible, try using a different charger to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem lies with the charger or the laptop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
