My computer won’t charge it saying something about you the original adapter but I am

If your HP 15s EQ2144AU laptop is not charging and you see a message about using the original adapter, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the Adapter and Cable:

  • Ensure you are using the original charger that came with your laptop.
  • Inspect the charging cable and adapter for any visible damage.
  • Make sure the cable is securely connected to both the laptop and the power outlet.

Power Cycle the Laptop:

  • Turn off your laptop.
  • Disconnect the charger.
  • Remove the battery if it's removable.
  • Hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery (if removable) and the charger, then turn on the laptop.

Try a Different Outlet:

  • Plug the charger into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the power source.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Restart your laptop.
  • Check for any BIOS or driver updates related to power management on the HP support website.

Battery Health Check:
