Hi all,

My HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 16-a0035nr would not turn on the other day. Had it since November 2020. At first I thought it was a battery issue, so I purchased another one off Amazon. The computer was able to turn on, but the battery would not charge when plugged in and rapidly lost power. I decided to take it in to a shop for repair and he told me the motherboard was fried, but could not pinpoint where the short circuit was. He quoted me 450 for the cheapest compatible motherboard + labor. My computer has been out of warranty since November. I was wondering if I could send it to HP for repair or would it be too pricey. Should I be looking for another laptop? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
