Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I would like to clarify that HP Pavilion laptops do not include any options that allow users to manually adjust or control fan speed. Fan customization features are only available on HP gaming models such as the few HP OMEN or certain gaming devices.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @lzx,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you have an HP OMEN laptop, you can use the OMEN Gaming Hub to manage your fan settings. This application allows you to adjust various settings for optimizing your gaming experience, including fan speed. Here’s how you can set your fan to the highest speed

Open the OMEN Gaming Hub: Launch the application on your HP OMEN laptop.

Access Performance Control: Navigate to the Performance Control section. Here, you can manage your system’s performance and fan settings.

Select Thermal Settings: Look for the Thermal Settings or similar option.

Set Max Fan: Choose the "Max Fan" option to ensure that you are using the best thermal capability to avoid thermal throttling. This will set your fan to its highest speed, helping cool down the CPU and GPU more effectively.

Save Your Settings: Make sure to apply or save your settings to ensure they take effect.

It’s important to keep your drivers and the OMEN Gaming Hub updated for the best performance. Updating your BIOS can sometimes reset or alter hardware settings unexpectedly. Regular updates and maintenance can help keep your system running efficiently.

I hope this helps.

But fan spins at max when bios update but not in games. It is causing my laptop to shut down due to thermal throttle. I repasted thermal paste and spread evenly. Cleaned the fans. Lifting the laptop up to a position for good airflow. I think there is a problem in the fan curve.
