Easiest way to convert to a "gaming" rig is to backup any data from the old setup to an external drive like a USB HDD.

Then remove the old laptop. Purchase new laptop with the specs you need for gaming.

Reinstall any old data to new laptop.

There isnt any way of converting a laptop with a new motherboard, cpu or graphics card to run the newest software unless you buy a new machine. Laptops are not like desktops where all that stuff is interchangeable.

Usually only the drives and memory can be replaced, and that probably wont help you much.

Also, include the full product number when asking for help. There are Hundreds of DV7s and I would have no way of knowing which one is yours.

Ya, its time for a new PC if you want to play the latest games. Yours is only using the integrated graphics from the 2nd gen CPU. Cant be changed. Minecraft will work ok though on low settings.
