OMEN Laptop - 15-dh1088nr

On June 14th, I downloaded the Season 4 update of Modern Warfare 2. At the same time, I was installing computer updates. The laptop restarted in the middle of the MW2 update and when it came back on, it was stuck on initializing and not making any progress. I tried a few things like deleting game files, scan and repair and restarting the update. Nothing worked so I eventually uninstalled the game and reinstalled. It worked fine ever since. Yesterday or the day before, another update happened for MW2 and ever since then, the game has been unexpectedly closing in the middle of game play or while loading into a game.

I think there’s an issue with the laptop as opposed to the game because usually the game would give me an error code. Can anyone help me with this issue? Maybe I deleted something I wasn’t supposed to? I don’t know anything about computers. All I do is run updates for the computer, NVIDIA drivers and MW2 and play the game. That’s all I do on this computer.
