Speed of transferring files from one storage media to another storage media is NOT stay the same depending on file size, file type, structure of the media ... You can transfer - say 100 files - and you won't get the same for all of them.

 

Hope this makes sense.

Whatever the file I tried to copy between the local disk its speed drops to 10 - 20 mbps from 150 mbps. 

Not only that, but  all my usb transfers are getting stuck at 99 percent and my laptop gets hang after that.
