Problem Description

Hi Community, I need urgent help with my brand-new HP Omen Transcend 14 purchased last week. The laptop immediately experiences severe thermal throttling during basic tasks (not just gaming), causing drastic performance drops.

Key Details:

  1. Issue Reproduction:

    Occurs within 5 minutes of multitasking (e.g., browsing + video playback).CPU starts throttling when I'm watching a movie? and once it started after a 10 min game of fortinite that too capped on performance mode which is insane, considering my old asus laptop doesn't throttle at this age in the same applications after 5 years of usage
  2. Attempted Troubleshooting:

    Updated BIOS/drivers via HP Support Assistant.Performed clean Windows 11 reinstall.

Requesting Help With:

  • How to properly raise a service ticket for hardware inspection/replacement.

  • Community troubleshooting tips to resolve thermal issues.

    • Ensure that OMEN Gaming Hub is updated and that Performance Control is set to Balanced or Performance Mode (avoid Quiet Mode).
       
  • Check Background Processes:
    • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to identify any background apps consuming high CPU or GPU.
       
  • Monitor Temps:
