I think my laptop has a display issue, I cannot lower the brightness at all. I have updated all my graphics drivers and I still cannot lower the display brightness. I have tried changing display settings in my power settings but i do not have any options to change the screen brightness.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to adjust the brightness on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
When was the last time the computer was working fine?
Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp107001-107500/sp107259.exe
If you continue facing the issue, then install the graphics driver from the below link.
AMD: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105894.exe
Nvidia: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp107001-107500/sp107225.exe
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Does it happen with and without the AC Adapter connected?
I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Keep me posted how it goes

Just tried your recommendation and that didn't work either. But I should have figured as much because you basically told me to do the same thing as the last person even though my original post said my drivers are ALL UP TO DATE. ***bleep***
