Hi @Kakarot16,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP Victus laptop's display flickering or turning off unexpectedly, here are some possible solutions to consider:

Check Connections: Ensure that all relevant cables and connections are securely in place. Loose connections can cause display issues.

Hard Reset: Perform a hard reset to clear any temporary glitches:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter.
  • Hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and battery, then turn on the laptop.

Battery and Power Supply: Since the display issues seem to be linked to changing the battery:

  • Test with a different battery if available.
  • Ensure the battery is properly seated in the battery bay.
  • Verify that the power adapter is supplying consistent power.

Update BIOS and Drivers: Outdated or corrupted drivers and BIOS can cause display problems. Make sure all system drivers and BIOS are up-to-date. Use HP Support Assistant to automatically update your drivers. Official HP® Support

Safe Mode: Boot your laptop in Safe Mode to check if a software conflict may be causing the problem. Safe Mode loads with minimal drivers and can help identify if the issue is software-related. Refer to HP Support's guide on Safe Mode.

Test with an External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external monitor to determine if the issue is with the laptop's internal display or graphics hardware. If the external monitor works fine, the issue may be with the laptop's display or related components.

Reseat Hardware Components: Issues with memory or other internal components can result in display problems. If comfortable, you may try reseating the memory modules and any other easily accessible components to ensure they are properly connected.

Check for Overheating: Overheating can cause the display to shut off. Ensure that the laptop has proper ventilation and is not overheating.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
