Hi all,

 

Does anyone know if a Omen 15-5010tx laptop has a cmos battery inside?

 

The normal laptop battery has died, so whenever i unplug the main power the laptop time and date stops/resets.

Hello @istarscream,

 

Nope, doesn't look like it does.

 

Therefore, the battery acts as the RTC (CMOS Battery) and replacing the battery should fix your issues.

 

Let us know if you are interested in a battery replacement in case you aren't covered under warranty.
