Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was able to find a few drivers from HP for it using my serial number as shown in the screenshot:

However, they are all very outdated and aren't supported by Windows 10 22H2.

According to Intel, the CPU I have includes Integrated Graphics as shown below:

However, when I tried to install the driver from here the installer gave me Exit code 8 "No driver was found that can be installed on the current device".

How do I find the driver? Thank you.

Hi:

Your notebook also has the Nvidia graphics adapter according to the product specs.

Notebooks that have the Nvidia/Intel switchable graphics adapters can only use the drivers on the HP support page.

There is a way to force install the latest Intel graphics driver from Intel but then doing that causes the Nvidia graphics adapter to quit working.

So, I do not recommend trying that approach.

Thank you for your response.

I know it has Nvidia, but it heats up for no reason on about 0% usage.
How come there isn't a way to install the proper updated driver? Did Intel cease to update it? The Nvidia driver provided by HP is also very outdated but somehow, I was able to update it from Nvidia. Can you confirm what kinda of Intel graphics my laptop has?
It isn't uncommon to have both Intel graphics and a dedicated GPU.

You're very welcome.

I'm looking at chapter 1 of your notebook's service manual and it appears that your notebook does not have an onboard Intel graphics adapter at all.

I do not see an Intel GPU as an option in the 15-dc0xxx model series, just NVidia.

When you go to the device manager and click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category, do you see both a NVidia GPU and an Intel HD graphics GPU. or just the Nvidia one?

If you just see the Nvidia graphics adapter listed there, then your notebook does not have the switchable graphics setup and only has the discrete Nvidia graphics adapter.

If that is the case, any Intel graphics driver is not applicable for your notebook.

Thank you.

I only see the Nvidia device, indeed. However, it sits at about 47-50°C when doing very simple tasks like browsing the web (without watching videos). I was able to slightly lower my CPU temperatures, but not the GPU and that's why I was looking for the ability to use the Intel Graphics. It's just so confusing since HP provided drivers for the exact model I have, since I input my serial number. This makes me wonder whether forcing the installation of those outdated drivers would do anything, considering there's no Intel graphics.

You're very welcome.

Trying to install the Intel graphics drivers when the GPU is ether not existent or deactivated on the motherboard, would be an exercise in futility.
