Wondering about if it has an M.2 SSD slot and if so does it allow for a PCIe SSD

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop. In Chapter 5, Removal and replacement procedures for Authorized Service Provider parts, Page 45, is a list of compatible M.2 SSD's and instructions for removing and installing them.

If I can jump in and offer a tip...
Before you run out and purchase an M.2 drive, you need to open the case and physically check your motherboard. You need to make sure the M.2 slot is actually soldered into the motherboard.
HP has a habit of not doing this if that particular model doesn't ship with that specific drive.
I just had this happen to another user with a brand new 2019 model.
