Microsoft Windows 11

Can't seem to get a definitive response on this. I have an 16 envy machine that came with 16 gigs but I'm wanting to upgrade. I have heard some mention that it doesn't void the warranty in the US.

Can someone (from HP ideally) clarify the terms.

Greetings!

As a fellow other HP notebook user that recently upgraded his device with RAM, I would like to suggest you to check the RAM compatibility of your device first using the Crucial Scanner Tool . It'll show you the max RAM Capacity of your specific device and suggest you which compatible RAM of their brand will suit your device.

As for the warranty, HP's support manual has it written in there that "removing and replacing the memory is a customer authorized procedure"

That said, you should not void the warranty of your device by upgrading RAM manually unless, you break something while you're at it.

I'd ideally like someone from HP to verify this. Been communicating with them on twitter too but they keep going in circles. There's apparently a ton of posts on various forums on this topic and I cant seem to fathom why it still is an 'issue'.
