Hp Omen 17t
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I recently purchased a HP Omen 17t, Problem is it doesnt boot up. Here is what's happening:

1: Powers on - HP Omen logo comes up with loading circle

2: After 30 - 40 sec Blank screen comes up with cursor(blue loading circle(blinking) with the cursor) - Fan speed constantly goes up and down, Waited for 15- 20 mins still the same nothing happens.

Can anybody help me with this please?

@KrazyKid,

It looks like you were interacting with @KrazyToad, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,
I'm the Jeet_Singh & I'm at your service.

As I see you have tried to perform recovery using the partition and unfortunately it was not successful, Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

I would suggest you try to run an extensive test on the hard drive from F2(Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).

If the test fails this could be a possible hardware failure with the notebook. Please refer to the private message with the information you need to get this sorted.

If the test passes, I would suggest the next step would be to perform a system recovery, since the partition did not help. I would suggest you try to perform recovery using the recovery media..

You can check if the recovery media is available online on www.hp.com/drivers by entering the exact model no. of your laptop. To find the exact model no. click here: http://hp.care/2bygf7l

@KrazyKid

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your post and I would like to help

If the issue started recently, I suggest you perform a System Restore to an earlier time when the HP Omen was working

- Shut down the computer completely.
- Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second, until you see the Windows loading screen.
- If a language selection screen opens, select the language you want to use to continue.
- On the Choose your keyboard layout screen, select the keyboard layout that matches your keyboard type.
- On the Choose an option screen, click Troubleshoot.
- On the Troubleshoot screen, click Advanced Options.
- On the Advanced options screen, click System Restore.
- Click Windows 10 as the target operating system.
- The System Restore window opens. Click Next.
- Click the restore point that you want to use, and then click Next.
- The Confirm Restore Point window opens.
-Click Finish to restore your computer to a previous point.
- Do not interrupt System Restore when it starts. Doing so can corrupt your hard drive and create more problems. Click Yes in the warning that appears.
- System Restore returns the computer configuration to a previous point in time and restarts.

If the issue persists, please perform a Push Button Reset. Refer to the instructions in this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-15-Notebook-PC-series/5354982/model/5400028/document/c0...

I also suggest running a Hard drive test to confirm the Hardware functionality

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Hard drive

Keep me posted how it goes 👍

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Thanks for the response, I followed whatever you said.

- Ran HP recovery

- Backed up data

The recovery process was going on but in the end, It said Recovery was unsuccessful and when I try to reboot, The no boot device found page comes up with Hard Disk - 3FO

I have checked the hard drive test it was fine and also I can see my drives in BIOS.

Any suggestions?
