HP ProBook 460 16 inch G11 Notebook PC (8Z679AV)

I bought this laptop a week ago. I've never charged it for 24 hours as an initial charge. The battery according to me should last for about 5 hours at least. Today it drained from 87% to 23% in just 80 mins over a simple Zoom call and when it reached 20% I plugged it in and after 4 minutes it said 100% fully charged. I drained my device completely and then out it on charge, again after 4 minutes it said 100% charged. I've plugged the charger in again after 30 minutes and it's come to 99% charged and not going to a 100%. What's going on please guide?

Try the 1-1-3 rule. 1 full charge and 1 full discharge, repeated 3 times. This is essentially to “initialize” the battery.

I was able to solve the battery problems with my old HP Probook using this method.

I also always use this method with my new laptops.
