I updated my BIOS to version F.08 and my Windows to the latest version as well in hope to solve the heating problem but all in vain.
Instead, now i can't even play light games such as Dota2, CS:GO, Apex Legends etc. 2 minutes into any of these games and it would start to lose fps and would render it unplayable. They used to run fine a month ago. And they should given the specs of my laptop.
The specs are as follows:
Processor: i5-8300H @ 2.30Hz
GPU: GTX 1060 3GB
RAM: 8 GB
I repeat again, ive updated to every possible update as of 5th of May 2019 via every freaking troubleshooter and updater. Ive even used 'Fresh Start' but no use.
Please help.

Welcome to HP support community.
Run a extensive test on the notebook to check for any hardware failures.
Refer this HP document for the steps:- Click here
If the test passes, perform a system reset:- Click here
Let me know how it goes.
