Hello, I am omen 16 user. My omen have 512 ssd, but i feel that not enough. So, i want to add another ssd as my omen has 2 ssd slot. From the information, the first ssd slot have pcie 4 interface where the second have pcie 3 interface. Could I add 1 TB pcie 3 ssd for the second slot without affecting the warranty? Because I already ask to support center (in Indonesia), that I must use RAID0 if I want to expand my storage with the same ssd from the laptop (PCIE 4). I did not think that RAID0 is suitable for me because the risk if 1 from 2 ssd error it will affect the data. I only want to expand my storage without using RAID0. Moreover, because the difference between 2 ssd slot (pcie 4 and pcie 3), I think it will not have additional benefit for me. My laptop ssd speed already more than 6000 MB/s. so If i use RAID0 with the second slot is pcie 3, i think the speed will be around 6000MB/s (will double the speed of pcie 3 as the pcie 3 is the lowest from 2 ssd slot in the laptop.
Please help me about this.

Warranty is a grey/gray area very hard to say in concrete. For new generation machines, adding something or fixing something is a work for Authorized Service Provider parts . You can add yourself. If something went wrong due to this upgrade, I think HP would not honor warranty.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.

I don't know why they have to do that.
