Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wanted to know that if i connect a 144hz monitor to my laptop, would i be able to take full advantage of the monitor and use it at 144hz or will the framerate be capped at 60hz. I currently have the HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 16-a05xxx which has 1 HDMI slot and no display ports.
