Product: HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B1AV)

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2021nt Product. I just bought a Lenovo Legion r25i-30 monitor which has a DP cable. So I also bought a Type C to Displayport adapter. However, I can not get any display from my external monitor and it is not listed in device manager.
Is my computer's Type C port capable to connect to an external monitor?
