OK so its only those two games. If that is the case, then you may have to take it up with their forum. I don't play Pubg so Im guessing there is maybe a setting in their game files that needs to be fixed? There might be an issue at the moment with the Nvidia driver for that game/games also. Do you have the latest one installed? I would check their forum for any info on the driver version you have. If I hear of anything, Ill post back.
Im not sure what someone has done to your system before you bought it, but all genuine HP systems that are factory sealed and have the SSD setup as GPT and in UEFI mode by default.
You don't have to reinstall in UEFI mode, it will still work. But If you do so again, disconnect the HDD and disable Legacy mode. Then reinstall only with the SSD connected and run it as UEFI. You can install Steam, Origin and whatever else, then re-point those game clients to the D drive games folder again.

My laptop currently has Legacy enabled for some **bleep** reason and when I disable it, it says "No boot devices found" and it gets completely locked until I manage to get into BIOS again and re-enable legacy mode.
What I'm unsure about is that there is this HP_Tools partition on SSD which was hidden, and some system reserved on HDD (Even tho Windows is installed on SSD, system reserved files are on HDD? Perhaps this is because of legacy?)
So if I do screw myself over by completely wiping both drives, converting them to GPT, is it confirmed that its gonna be worth the wipe, I have over 360 gigs of data downloaded from days and days over a 8mbps connection, and its really hard to re-download all of this, but I am still willing to give it a go, I can wipe both drives off completely and convert them to GPT and enable UEFI, but only if I'm sure I won't have trouble if the "HP_TOOLS" partition and its data is gone, and also I won't get the "No boot devices found" even after I convert drives to GPT...

Like I said before, the fact that its MBR right now is not the cause of the fps drops or any over heating.
But if you just want to do this, its your personal choice. I am just recommending that if you reinstall next time, to do so as UEFI. As long as your bios is in UEFI mode, it will recognize a GPT drive.
IF you are going to do it though, I highly suggest you buy yourself an external USB HDD storage drive and make a copy of all your data that's on the D drive first. Then you wont have anything to worry about as far as wiping the drives. Its a good thing to do anyways considering how long it would take to download everything again.
You can convert drives to GPT without wiping the drive also. Easeus makes a free tool that will work. Give this a read. https://www.easeus.com/partition-manager-software/free-convert-mbr-to-gpt-without-data-loss.html
When you used the MS media installer, did you do a custom install and delete all partitions of the SSD?
This should have wiped the HP Tools partition also. The Tools partition is where the UEFI Diagnostics is parked. You don't have to have it for Windows to function correctly.

I only deleted the Windows partition on SSD, not the whole drive partitions.
Also my BIOS is currently in Legacy as I said, turning legacy on gives me the "No boot devices found" error, and my both drives (SSD and HDD) are MBR right now as I purchased it, but if UEFI has no significant benefit over Legacy in terms of performance or these FPS issues then I'd rather not do it and leave it be.
I'll try to see if I can find a possible solution to the issues im facing in specific games now.
Thanks you and @Lunario for helping.

mbr has nothing to do with fps master boot record limitations has to do with partitions and hdd storage .
MBR or master boot record only works with hddd wit max of 2tb and only permits 4 primary partitions.
anyway your HP should have come with GPT and not MBR

Its been a while but I'm still suffering from the issue, and I managed to clip it this time...

Hmm, I gotta feeling you bought someone elses troubles with that used machine.
You have reinstalled Windows and updated drivers and tried other Nvidia drivers and the video freezing still occurs right away in a game.
You dont have other things running in the Task manager that would run the cpu percentage up high. The temps aren't getting so high as to throttle as you've even disabled turbo boost previously.
When Ive seen this situation occur, its been a hardware issue. You could try running the HP Diagnostics tool and see if it detects anything. The Windows version doesnt work as well as the UEFI version, but you said you didnt have the new style installed. BUT you can run it from USB which might be more accurate.
If you have an old blank USB 2 drive between 4 and 8 GB, those work best.
Make sure your power cord is plugged in.
Download this file and run it. Do not have any other USB drives connected except the one.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp98501-99000/sp98768.exe
When prompted during installation, it will ask you how you want to install it. Choose USB.
It will install some files to the drive.
Completely shut down the laptop.
Press the power button and immediately and rapidly tap the F2 key until a Menu opens like this...
(it might ask you to choose a language first)
Choose System Tests and then Extensive Test.
It will take a few hours to run.
It usually finds the hardware error, not always.

Thanks, I'll try to get a hold of a USB, I had a spare one which I used for the fresh Windows 10 media creation which I was suggested here, however, I'll see if I can get to do an extensive test, its really sad if its a hardware issue, I waited 12 years to work my way into buying a gaming machine just to have such an end.
Edit: Is it necessary for the USB to be empty? I have an 8gig one but I have some important documents in it (7.23GB free)
Edit 2: I'll just back it up on my drive and format it for the test.

Well this shows up during installation
\
This happens after I press 'Yes' for "There's no HP_TOOLS partition..." kind of message and it asks me to create one. Also I tried pressing No as well but same result.

Lesson learned. Spend your money on a NEW computer next time. Don't buy someone else's problems.
Sometimes USB 3 drives don't work as good as USB 2 drives.
With the usb drive inserted...
In Windows Search bar, type CMD and choose to run it as administrator.
In the black cmd window, type diskpart and hit Enter.
Type list disk and hit Enter.
There will be a list of drives. Find the one that matches your USB Pen drive in capacity.
it will list them as disk 0, disk 1 disk 2, etc. Then type the number that matches.
To do that, type select disk 2 or what ever number it is and hit Enter.
.It will say Disk 2 or what ever number, is selected.
Type clean and hit Enter.
Type exit and hit Enter. then close the window.
Now type Disk Management in the Windows Search bar and hit Enter.
Right click on the USB drive (it will show as Unallocated) and initiate it and give it a drive letter and format.
Now try installing the USB Diag to the drive again. If it still errors, it doesn't like that drive.
Ive had it happen to me before.
